Jesus:

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening depending on where you seem to think you are. As always, let us all come into this moment now, remembering that the only time that is, is now. There is nothing else. So, let it all go. That’s any thoughts of the past, any future musings; just let it all go. Just enter into this moment. Now, you can close your eyes if you want.

Take a deep breath and breathe, releasing anything that may seem to stand in your way. There is nothing, and we are here, and you are as well.

So, as always, it’s a good time for us to remind you of truth, which is why you chose to attend, to be reminded of truth, the truth that never changes. This is true about who you really are. You want to open yourself to who you really are, remembering that the ego is simply a thought that you made up. And being a thought, it can always be changed. We want to remind you that you are not a body. You are free. You are the mind that is dreaming, and in truth, you are spirit. Breathe into that.

This world is but a dream, a dream that seems to be shifting and changing all the time, which means it’s an illusion. Truth never changes, and truth is where you truly abide. You see, in that, it’s never changed. So, you really want to recall that to your mind as you have your experiences in the dream, reminding yourself it is but a dream. We’ve got lots to say about that, and we will, of course, touch on all of those things as much as we can throughout this session. But we want you to remember that you always have a choice. Remember how we said you are the mind that is dreaming, not the figure in the dream. Meaning, you are not beholden to a body. The body is illusion. The body doesn’t really exist. But because you believe the body does, all these setups in your life that help you to use the body in different ways. And what we want is for you to really tune in to your true self, who will guide you in the ways in which to actually use the body, which is always going to be to awaken from the dream of the body, the dream of separation, the dream that is the illusion. You really want to wake up. You really don’t want to hang out here forever because, number one, you can’t. This is ephemeral. Where you truly are is eternal. You are eternal. The body dies. You are not a body. You never die. You are forever.

So, we can go on and on with all of that, but we’d like to begin to talk to you in ways that you can also understand, and that would be through answering questions that have been submitted.

Moderator:

Thank you, Jesus. The first question is from Katherine, who is not here today. However, Katherine asks, “Can you explain how to overcome anxiety as an addiction in a practical way, especially as young adults experience it in this crazy uncertain world?”

Jesus:

Absolutely. So, first of all, you have to be willing that we’re just talking in general, not specifically to young adults at this moment, but just anxiety in and of itself is a construct, you see, of the mind that you can always change. And like we said, you believe fully in the body, and so you seem to be ruled by the body. That would be the chemical reactions, which would be the anxieties and so on, as they manifest physically or seem to, at least. So, what you want to do is begin to remember, “I am a mind and not a body. These anxieties that I may feel are not true. They are something that I have agreed upon in my mind, and therefore, it presents in such a way that will feel very real. That would be through using the body to convince yourself of something that isn’t true.” Does that make sense to everyone? Okay. So, we got that part out.

What we wanted to explain about young adults—this will also help anybody, could be a child, adult, anyone. When you are a young adult, that means you are an adolescent. Your body seems to go through all of these chemical scenarios that have to do with physical maturity or physical maturing, and that entails lots of chemicals. So, the anxiety is not unusual. So, what you want to do as a young adult is take the time, as much as you can, to remind yourself, “These feelings that I’m feeling, these anxieties, are not something that is thrust upon me by my outer experience, but something that’s going on chemically in the brain.” We’re using this as a way to explain it because it is the easiest thing to grasp. When you are a young adult, it feels like those chemicals come from way out in the ethers and just attack you somehow. But when you can realize, “Okay, this is a chemical system that’s going off in the brain, and the only way that I can handle it is to recall that it’s something to do with my brain, and I don’t have to attack it back. I can make peace with the fact that I seem to have a lot of anxiety. This too shall pass as I mature.” Eventually, the body just lets it go. But, of course, throughout your experience, you may again feel anxiety in adulthood, which is what we also want to address in the same way. It’s the same thing. You see, only because you are more mature in mind, it’s easier for you to see it that way and take the steps and say, “Okay, this is just that chemical reaction, and I’ll do whatever I need to do to be easy about it.” You see, and what you want to do is eventually just say, “It’s a body reaction that is in my mind, and the most kind thing for me to do is not get upset about it. Getting upset about it makes it more real, but instead, making peace with it because peace heals.” And we want you to know that peace is always an option and, in fact, the option you want to make. You see, you are a mind, and as a mind, you can choose to operate from the mind of peace, and that’s what you really want.

Thank you, Jesus. The next question is from Regina, and Regina asks, “Dear Jesus, according to my understanding of realization, does a visible coexistence interacting together etc. always have to follow on the outside as well? I have separated from people I’ve known for a long time. In truth, there is no separation from them as there cannot be. But life in form doesn’t seem to have us together. According to my understanding of realization, does a visible externalized coexistence always have to follow as well? How does it work in Christ our self? Do I have to do something for external reunification? I try to surrender the question and ask for guidance from Christ, thus trying not to answer it in human confusion. Are there external visible signs that indicate that we live and act from the spirit of Christ? Does inner peace lead to outer peace? Is there only inner peace? Nothing depends upon itself. Thank you for everything. I love you.”

Jesus:

We love you too. So, basically, we’re going to say that that is the same question being asked in different ways. So, no, your outside circumstance does not have to reflect your internal experience. Peace is always of mind, which is an internal experience. Sometimes it manifests in your external, but the peace of mind is never dependent upon that which is outside. And then, you also have to remember, there is no outside in truth. You see, and Christ’s mind never asks a question. Christ only knows itself and knows itself as love. You see? And so, there is no confusion in Christ. And to ask a question does actually come from your lower mind. Does that make sense?

Regina:

Yes, it does. Thank you.

Moderator:

So, is there any elaboration that needs to be given for this, or is that clear? Seems to be pretty clear.

Jesus:

Basically, no. Things do not have to manifest externally in order for you to experience peace or vice versa. Your experience is simply experience. You see, peace is a state of mind and one that you choose no matter what seems to be going on. You could be living in a war zone and still have a mind of peace. That means a mind that does not judge, does not push against, and simply is itself, which is peace. It needs not externals to reaffirm itself. It only knows of itself, and being peace, there can only be peace of mind.

Moderator:

Thank you. The next question is from Carolyn, who couldn’t be here today, and Carolyn asks, “Dear Jesus, what is the surefire way to contact you? Or are you aware of my every need before I am even aware of it? Thank you. I love you.”

Jesus:

We love you too. And indeed, in fact, we know what you need before you know what your need is. You see, because in the mind that seems to believe itself external, there seems to be the need for something to validate itself. You don’t need that in truth. We don’t need to know anything but what we do know, and that needs no words. You see? So, this experience of you, one with all that is, is always true. Now, for you to experience the connection, you have to let go of your mind of judgment. It is judgment that always gets in the way. This goes for everyone. You could be going along just fine in your day; things seem to be great. Then, all of a sudden, something seems to arise, seems to throw you off, and you say, “What happened?” Always know that in that moment, there was some kind of judgment. You see, as soon as you begin to judge, you choose to separate yourself. For God never judges. God simply accepts, and being one with God, that is true for you as well. Remember how we have talked about the fact that you have two parts to your mind. Number one, you are a mind, and you have the two parts: you have your right mind and your wrong mind. And so, in your experience in the dream, you think that you have these two sides that are always in conflict with one another. Well, that’s judgment. Judgment comes from your wrong mind. That’s the part of you that says, “I want to exist. I can’t exist unless I have conflict because if I don’t have conflict, there is no me.” And that is a block to the awareness of your communication, which is with the Holy Spirit. And it is eternally so. You see? And so, what you want to do is tune in every day and, in fact, tune in throughout the day to check to see, “Am I flowing with my experience without judgment, or have I introduced judgment to the conversation?” If you ever introduce judgment into the conversation, you know that you have chosen to listen to your wrong mind a little bit. Your right mind simply accepts, forgives, and lets go of anything that is not of itself. And you always have that ability as you remain mindful of that. You see, so that is a surefire way of communication with Christ.

Thank you, Jesus. This next question is from Hollister, who couldn’t be here today, but Hollister asks, “You once responded to my stubborn insistence that I couldn’t possibly have chosen to come here with: ‘I not only chose to come into a body, I impatiently waited in line to get in here.’ Here being the classroom, the dream aka the world. I couldn’t wait to occupy a body, is what you told me. Now, the class or the purpose of the game is to wake up inside the game or to who or rather what we actually are: a thought in the mind of God, not this body. My question is this: What is wrong with enjoying ice cream some days or however you pamper yourself in a loving way? These bodily egoic experiences do feel good, and if I completely understand, they do nothing to add or subtract from who I really am. I don’t see anything wrong with enjoying the physical experience I waited in line to get into while the body lasts. Is there anything wrong with actually enjoying yourself in here?”

Jesus:

So, first of all, we want to say that it’s not “wake up in the dream,” but “wake up from the dream.” You see, so you want to wake up from it, not in it. And the other part is, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying an ice cream or whatever pleasure that you find the body thinks it has, which is actually what you think it has. There’s nothing wrong with that. The only thing we want to remind you of is that that pleasure is not salvation. So, you don’t take it seriously. Okay? The body wants to enjoy an ice cream. That’s fine. If I took it seriously, that makes it really real and turns it into some kind of punishment if I do that. Well, that’s silliness. So, you don’t take it seriously. The body enjoys ice cream because I told it to. That’s kind of funny. You could laugh about it. These silly passing pleasures are just that: silly, passing, not to be taken seriously. And remember, it’s nothing. So, no, we would never recommend not enjoying it because the act of not enjoying it makes it real. You see, so the point is, pleasure is not salvation.

Moderator:

Thank you. Thank you. And that goes for everything. Nothing of form is salvation. Nothing. No matter how awesome you can make your body, no matter how healthy you can make your body, no matter how sick you can make your body, no matter how anything you can make your body, it’s nothing. It is not salvation. It is a silly dream.

Jesus:

Thank you, Jesus. Thank you. We want to remind everyone: lighten up. This experience is not serious. Although in mind, it may seem to be because, like we said, you have two parts to your mind. Your right mind doesn’t take it seriously. The wrong mind takes it very, very seriously because the wrong mind is of the ego or basically is the ego mind. It’s going to make you think that things have to be serious. See, the seriousness makes the ego real to you. “Oh, that feeling. It must be important because it feels like that. So, I should give it all my attention. Do everything I can to appease it or punish it.” It doesn’t matter which way you go as long as you’re doing something with it, which basically is saying, “This is real.” Remember how we’ve talked to you about this before: the ego loves conflict. Absolutely loves it because conflict is its food. So, the more you’re in conflict, the more you’re feeding the ego. The less you pay attention to your feelings of conflict, and the more you let those conflict feelings go rather than analyzing them and trying to figure out anything about the conflict feelings except for the fact that yes, the conflict comes from the ego. So, I can then begin to release those feelings rather than hold on to them and tell more and more stories about them. I can start letting them go. That’s what makes the ego lighter and lighter and lighter for you and to you. Not necessarily the ego to itself. It makes it very horrible to the ego, but that’s not the point either. The point is, you just take the ego less and less seriously. Eventually, you forget about it. You say, “Wow, there’s nothing, there’s nothing at all. I don’t have to take that seriously.”

So, just a reminder for everyone: seriousness equals ego identification. No matter what it’s about. See, this is the funny thing about the ego: it doesn’t matter what it’s about, as long as there’s conflict of some kind, the ego is alive and well. And even if it’s pleasure, which is appearing to be pleasant, but actually, it’s the same conflict taking a different form. We have said this before too: pleasure and pain are the same thing. Same thing. It’s all illusion. Same thing. It is a coin. You believe the coin has two sides. No matter what side you flip it to, it’s the same illusion. Does that make sense to everyone? An illusion is an illusion is an illusion. And that’s not going to stop.

So, we could go on and on and on. Is there anything else before we go on and on and on? And we will go on and on and on. That’s all I have, Jesus.

This next question is from Neil, and Neil asks, “Dear Jesus, thanks to your grace and revelation, I’m finally starting to really enjoy life again, almost 2 and a half years after my son John passed away. But sometimes, I feel pangs of guilt which seem to shout at me, ‘How can you be happy when you can’t see Johnny anymore? It’s disrespectful to him.’ So, I still struggle with those feelings. Can you help us with that? Thank you.”

Jesus:

Absolutely. So, what we were just saying about pain and pleasure and all of that being of the ego, it’s this same thing. This is also that. So, those thoughts that come in and say you should feel guilty for feeling good, that’s your ego wanting to stay alive. You see, when you feel good, your son is one with you. When you start feeling feelings of guilt, you separate from your son. Does that make sense?

Neil:

Yes. Thank you, Jesus.

Jesus:

You’re welcome. So, the more that you ignore those feelings or those thoughts that say you should feel guilty, the closer and closer you come to your son. So, and we just try to let them go and not hang on to themselves. Absolutely. So, don’t try to analyze the thoughts that come up that say, “Well, you should feel bad, or this is wrong because he’s dead and all of that.” Just know that that’s your ego. Number one, he’s not dead in the sense that it’s trying to tell you. Like, you know, we have said, the body dies, but the spirit is eternal. He is eternal. He never died. In form, the form died, but he is always with you. And he is eternal. You see? And when you feel joy, he’s right there with you feeling joy. When you feel guilt, it’s like you put a wall up.

Neil:

Thank you, Jesus. You’re welcome. And then, don’t feel guilty about feeling guilty and noticing that that was a wall that you put up just last week, Jesus. Um, we took your advice from quite some time ago. We opened his door to his room and started arranging things. It was funny because the air conditioner guy said, “Look, you got to open your son’s room because I got to get up into the crawl space to fix the AC.” And so, you got a job to do. So, I said to my wife, “Okay, well, you got orders from the AC guy to fix Johnny’s room.” So, it’s a good excuse. It is. But I thought about what you said about, you know, just kind of preparing ourselves emotionally before we open the door, and somehow it wasn’t as hard as I thought, you know, and my wife and my daughter did it originally, and I give them a lot of credit, but I started to hear Johnny saying, “Dad, this is your room now, too. I’ll share it with you.” You know, it’s not just my room. I want to share it with you. You know, you have my record player. You can use that. I want you to play some records on my record player. I want you to do that." And I could actually hear my son saying that. You think that’s true?

Jesus:

Yes, it is. And you are hearing your son. You are absolutely hearing your son. In fact, everything that happened with the AC had to do with him, too.

Neil:

I’m sorry. Say that again, please, Jesus.

Jesus:

Even everything that had to do with the AC had to do with him. Because he said, “Well, it seems like my dad is ready. So, how about messing with the AC and kind of give him a running start?”

Neil:

Oh, that’s so amazing, Jesus. And wow, that’s beautiful. Thank you. And you’re welcome. You know, I wonder, there’s a part in the course that I heard a teacher of the course speaking about. He said, “Do you not say in the course that to each person a very individualized curriculum is given for their enlightenment?” Um, I try, I don’t know if I’m getting that right, but it almost seems like, so this stuff that we go through in the dream, is it part of God’s plan, or is it just our dream?

Jesus:

You’re one with God, you’re one with God, so it’s part of your plan as in the oneness you share with God. You see, and it’s not enlightenment that we talked about. We talked about your atonement, which you could think of as your enlightenment. So, when you accept the atonement for yourself, enlightenment is sure to follow. You see, but that’s not the point of the course. The point of the course is forgiveness.

So, everyone has their personal atonement path while personal seems important. Once personal doesn’t seem important, the term personal doesn’t apply. Meaning, you forget about personal. It just is. These things come up, and you just go with the flow. And that’s just what seems to happen. That’s part of your atonement path. You see, so never talk about enlightenment as something that you should achieve in the course because the point of it is forgiveness. Enlightenment feels as if it’s something that one must reach. Forgiveness is something you can grasp right here and right now.

Neil:

Wow. That’s a lot to meditate on, Jesus. You know, is forgiveness rather than blame? You see, so you have something come up. Am I going to project blame on the situation, or am I going to accept it as a thought that I can choose to forgive, make peace with, and let go? Does that make sense?

Jesus:

Yes. I work on that every day, Jesus. I try to do my best, and I know all of our other attendees do that too. Absolutely. And so, just one other thing: if we wake up in the morning and say, “Good morning, Jesus,” is it really egoic to ask, like, are you aware of my saying good morning to you?

Jesus:

Absolutely. We’re aware of everything.

Neil:

Wow.

Jesus:

Not only are we aware of everything, but we’re also aware of everything that is true and everything that isn’t. We don’t hold on to what is not true. It just simply doesn’t exist. It just goes away, and we focus only on truth. You see, when you say, “Good morning, Jesus,” you have made a decision to attune your mind to truth.

Neil:

Well, let it be so, Jesus. Thank you so much. Thank you. You’re doing a great job. Thank you. Thank you so much. I love you. Thank you. We love you too.

Moderator:

The next question is from Nick, and Nick asks, “Dear beloved brother Jesus, there is a place within that knows absolutely there is no need for questions, for questions keep me focused on chasing answers which simply cause confusion. I see this as an opportunity for deeper trust but feel caught between the confusion and trust. Can you please offer some guidance for me to release this confusion? I’m finding it difficult to let go to my only heart’s desire, and the loop continues. This is where I feel stuck. I did get some information, some confirmation when I picked up ‘A Course in Miracles.’ I’m going through the text at present, and I turn to remember that the Holy Spirit is the answer, not the question. This is undeniable, yet confusion/fear still remains. Please, can you speak more on this for me?”

Jesus:

Absolutely. So, that is the case. That is the case when you believe the body is real and who you are, and that the dream is real. It is not real. You don’t have to stay in that thought. You see, once you come into awareness of that, you begin to do the work that we’ve laid out before you, which is the forgiveness path, the pathway of atonement. And you take the steps as you go along. The confusion comes in just as any question or questioning comes in, and that is the mind that wants to convince you that you didn’t get it. And so, what it does sometimes with the course is, “This is the craziest language here. He seems to say one thing here, and then later on in the book, it seems like he’s saying something else.” But really, if I look at it side by side, it is the same thing, only perhaps in a different sentence structure. So, what you want to do is, as you are reading the text, just allow the wisdom to dawn upon your mind. Don’t try to figure it out. Don’t try to see how far along you are in awakening. That defeats the purpose. You get locked into that too much analyzing, and you’re back in with the ego, looking at the course with the ego. So, you just want to keep releasing, and how you do that is, every time the feeling of confusion comes up, “That’s my ego. I’m just going to let it go. I’m not going to analyze the mind of analysis.” Just going to keep letting it go, little by little. Eventually, it’ll be lighter and lighter, and it won’t keep coming up, at least not in a way that seems so loud. So, it really is about practice and just a consistent practice. And don’t worry about if you’re doing it right. That’s another ego trap: “Am I doing this right?” There’s no right or wrong way of doing it. Just do it. Does that make sense?

Nick:

Yes, it does. Yes. Yes. So, be lighter about it. And really, like we said earlier, don’t take it so seriously. The ego loves to take the course seriously. Even though it doesn’t want you to even do the course because that’s its end, it wants to make you feel in conflict with the course, which keeps it active. You see? So, take the whole thing lighter and lighter.

That’s wonderful. You’ve just given me a beautiful affirmation. And I guess these words and understandings are just below the surface, but actually hearing them from you, it seems to penetrate to a place that I can get past myself.

Jesus:

Beautiful. And that’s what you want: get past yourself. Be free.

Nick:

Thank you. Thank you so much. I love you.

Jesus:

Love you too.

The next question is from George, and George asks, “Last time I asked what was happening in my life, my dream that is, regarding the loss of my business and all my clients. I quote your answer: ‘It’s time for a different kind of learning. You’re going to be learning a deeper lesson. Get ready.’ Two days later, the company terminated me. I am 71 and have never been let go from a job before. Was that the event to which you were referring, or is something else still on the horizon? I guess I am confused about trust from outside the dream. My only reality is spirit, and spirit is in a state of grace forever. So, trust is automatic, a given. But from inside the dream, I still do not want to get in a car accident or become homeless. So, I guess I’m saying that in the dream, anything could happen, and it could just be called a forgiveness lesson. I’m wondering then, how does trust help me?”

Jesus:

Okay, so first of all, there has to be some humor in this. Not to say your experience is humorous, but the way it is presented. We did say that there’s a deeper lesson. And if you were looking at the lesson from the level of spirit, it is, “This must mean I have a different way that I can perceive this.” And that’s the choice I need to make. I may not know what that really is, but I can be certain that this is a pathway to peace. Not your being fired, but your desire to see it from a different perspective. And that is the deeper lesson. And you are correct about forgiveness because it is always forgiveness. The trust has to do with trusting that that is the lesson, that there is nothing more that is meant by any of this but for you to know that you are cared for. And what we have to say is never addressing form. So, when we said there is a deeper lesson, and then on the level of form in your experience, you got fired, that has nothing to do with each other. What we mean by that is, the firing happens on the level of form. Our lesson for you that we were talking about did not have to do with the level of form. Does that make sense?

George:

Yes. My one concern is, it feels like I have to be concerned with form. You know, I have to buy car insurance. I have to… So, the point we were trying to make is, the thing that we talked about, your lesson, does not have to do with anything from the world of form; it has to do with how you perceive.

Jesus:

Yeah. No, it was just taking care of yourself and insurance and all of that makes sense on the level of form. And of course, we would say, do whatever you need to do.

George:

I guess I’m wondering whether it will be possible for me to do what I need to do on the level of form. And I’m wondering if the Holy Spirit somehow takes care of that, or I just take my lumps, whatever they happen to be. You know what I’m saying?

Jesus:

Well, all we can say to you is, do whatever brings the greatest sense of peace. Then, you know you’re doing it with the Holy Spirit.

George:

Yeah. I know what the answer is. I’m just looking for some… I don’t know what I’m looking for. There’s a line, I think it’s lesson 195, where it says, “What could you not accept if you knew that?” And I think they’re referring to the Holy Spirit will take care of everything for you. Do you know that line?

Jesus:

Yes, of course.

George:

Does that mean that on the level of form, we’re being taken care of?

Jesus:

Okay, here’s what it is. Let’s say you’re in the situation that you’re in right now, and you know the next steps you should take on the level of form that will bring the greatest sense of peace. If you’re doing that, you are working 100% with the Holy Spirit. That’s the best we can give: basically, if you’re doing it in that peace, you are being guided by spirit towards something that will work or something that will bring peace.

George:

Right. Thank you very much. I love you.

Jesus:

You’re welcome.

Moderator:

This next question is from Julie, and Julie asks, “Is there a simple way to stay in the presence of the Holy Spirit to see everyone as innocent?”

Jesus:

Yes, actually. And the first thing we’ll say is, from operating in the mind of form, it is not possible to see everyone as innocent. So, you need to go back to your mind and choose to move with the Holy Spirit rather than your external mind. Does that make sense?

Julie:

Yes. And to be in the present moment is to do exactly that: let go of the mind of the external and be more inwardly viewing from the mind of peace.

Jesus:

So, not using the physical eyes.

Julie:

Oh, you can use the physical eyes. You just have to get rid of your judgment.

Jesus:

Oh, I knew you were going to say that when you mentioned it earlier. Always letting go of judgment. That’s really difficult for mythical me, this one.

Jesus:

So, that’s your job: to let go of that way of thinking to the best of your ability every time it pops up, which is every second. Every second, choose again.

Julie:

Kind of tiring.

Jesus:

It will be less and less tiring as you take it less and less seriously.

Julie:

Okay. I had a little question about that from today. So, I know your message is always to lighten up, don’t take it seriously, but in this one’s mind, the course is pretty serious, especially the text. So, how… I know what you’re going to say. You’re going to tell me to let go of my judgment of the text.

Jesus:

Well, yeah. And at the same time, the text is written or actually was channeled by those who are very serious. And that’s not a bad thing. You see, you don’t judge the message. Don’t judge the messenger.

Julie:

Why those two? Why the serious ones? Because that is the only way it would be taken seriously?

Jesus:

That could be it. It reaches on a different level. If we came in to those who were more metaphysically focused, it would take on a very metaphysical framework or sense and wouldn’t necessarily reach as many minds as it is now.

Julie:

And if it came through super joyous, happy people, would that not get the message across?

Jesus:

It wouldn’t get the message across. The point of this is to let the world go. If you’re all about making the world a joyous place, it’s a place you want to stay. And really, truly, the message is to forgive the world and let it go. That’s pretty serious. It does feel very serious to the ego. But no matter what thought system you encounter this in, you’re going to come up against this seriousness because it’s all we know, because the ego is all the ego knows.

Julie:

Yes. Because that is the ego. The ego says, “I don’t want to die.” You say, “Well, you’re not going to die because you don’t exist in the first place.” So, you don’t take the ego seriously. See, with this whole split that seemed to have occurred at the beginning, the personality seemed to come about. This goes for everyone. That personality is the ego. The personality thinks that it is you, and you think that it is you, and that all of this awakening has to do with releasing that personal identity, that separate self. What happens to you then? You don’t exist. If there is no world, then you’re not really here. That’s very frightening. That doesn’t go over well with the ego because then where is its home?

Jesus:

But no matter, like we said, no matter what thought system you encounter this in, you’re going to come up against this because that’s the point: release from the ego, let it all go, and you are free.

Julie:

And that’s what you did.

Jesus:

Absolutely. But see, I knew that the end is joy. And that joy you can experience while you seem to still be here as long as you let go of you, the seriousness of you.

Julie:

Say that again.

Jesus:

As long as you let go of you, the seriousness of you goes.

Julie:

Yes. Thank you so much.

Jesus:

You’re welcome. Absolutely. We always say it’s very simple; it’s just not always easy.

Julie:

That’s true. It isn’t. It really isn’t. But the more you go for it, the lighter you feel, the less important things seem to be, and you become freer and freer.

Jesus:

And then, I can free other people just by being you. You don’t even do anything. There’s nothing for you to do. You just exist as that. I love you so much. Be that instead of exist. You be that. We love you too.

The next question is from Ruth, and Ruth asks, “I’ve been attending a church for about 14 years, and I developed a close relationship with the spiritual leader whom I came to call dad. He told me we were in each other’s lives so he could demonstrate the true meaning of love to me at the time. This made me feel very special as I was struggling in my marriage. I had long struggled with feelings of not fitting in, and he knew this about me. One Sunday, he kissed me and said it was something that had to be done ‘under God.’ My husband was outside socializing at the time. When he explained that he only acted as led by the Holy Spirit, I complied, but I questioned whether this was right. Over time, however, I’ve grown increasingly confused and burdened with guilt. I feel manipulated and used. I’m especially troubled by the idea that this relationship was supposedly led by God. Was it? How can I distinguish your guidance from my own ego? I feel lost and stuck, unsure of how to move forward. How can I heal from the guilt and confusion caused by this experience?”

Jesus:

Okay, so first of all, we’ll just address it from the beginning. What we are going to say is that if what you just said is how it went, then of course, that was a manipulation of some sort. But the point right now is what you do with that information. What you do with this information right here and now is you remind your mind of this: “I am not a victim of external circumstances. That was also a decision that I made,” which, of course, because it was a situation that very much entailed the ego, guilt seems to be there. Don’t pay attention to the guilt. Let it go. You are not guilty. It was an experience for learning. What you learned was that is not what I want. What I want is the real wholeness that communing with spirit entails, which does not involve physical bodies, situations, or experiences. Spirit is perfect forever and needs not anything. So, what you want to do with this is, “I had this experience. I have to look at it, forgive it, and know that I won’t let this happen again. I will not let this happen again. But I am whole and complete in Christ, and Christ is eternal. No matter what seems to happen, you are not guilty. You are free.”

Ruth:

Thank you. And what is in the past is the past, and the past is over. Now is the only thing that is true and eternal. And we’re not talking about now in form, but nowness as spirit, as eternity, as light. So, thank you. Thank you. Lighten up. Don’t let yourself feel guilty. But if you find yourself feeling guilty, forgive yourself for that feeling, letting it go and reminding yourself, “I am a child of God. I cannot be harmed. I cannot be manipulated. I am eternal oneness with Christ.”

Jesus:

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Ruth:

Is it possible that I can have a fear, and the fear that I’m experiencing is residue from a trauma in a past life?

Jesus:

No. No. Okay. What we teach is the past does not exist. The present is all there is. So, this moment right now, everything is perfect. So, tune into this eternal now as much as you can.

Ruth:

Okay. Okay. If you find yourself with the guilt feeling, remind yourself, “I’m going to let that go. I want to be now. I am eternal in now.”

Jesus:

Okay. Lastly, could you assist me to remember life before I came here?

Jesus:

Can’t, because there’s nothing. The life that was and still is before your experience here still is. There is no past. It is now. So, when you tune into the now the way that we said, you are one with the essence of you, which is that that you seek.

Ruth:

Okay. Why is it that we don’t seem to remember?

Jesus:

Because what happened in the beginning was there was a thought to separate from God. That thought, being impossible, brought along with it, by your choice, feelings of guilt. And that feeling of guilt was so overwhelming, you made up another self—that’s your ego—to shield you from that feeling of guilt that comes from the ego. The ego put up a shield, causing you to forget everything you really are so that you focus only on the material, the world of illusions. So, it seems like you forgot everything, but who you really are has never forgotten. Who you really are knows you eternally always, and nothing can change that.

Ruth:

So, is that the difference then from what you said to somebody to wake up from the dream and not in the dream?

Jesus:

Yes, that’s it. Because if you’re waking in the dream, then you’re becoming aware but still in a dream. You want to wake up from it so that you are aware that it is a dream and that you aren’t even in it in truth. The linear mind has difficulty with that. So, just say it’s a dream. What was meant by waking from the dream, not in the dream, is simply you’re going to wake up out of the dream rather than waking up in it.

Ruth:

Is there something I need to do to wake up from it?

Jesus:

There’s nothing you need to do except to accept truth, accept what is, make peace with it. That’s the only doing.

Ruth:

Okay. Okay. You’re welcome. Love you. Thank you.

Jesus:

We love you.

Looks like we are at the end of this session. As always, it has been a wonderful time. So, time does not exist. We always have to remind you of that. Remember, be as light as you can. Do your best to not take it so seriously. And we know that’s not the easiest task, but letting it go little by little, it will get lighter and lighter. Breathe more into the truth of you, which is spirit. Spend more time in that thought and allow that to guide your way. We love you, and we are always with you, always, and wonderful time once again. Namaste.
